Right, I'll get hold of a replacement and stick it on then. Starting to turn into a real headache! Was your car suffering with the 'hesitating' I've described it just the poor idle?

Yea It would hesitate a little right when I started moving from dead stop.

Guys, could a small split in a coolant hose cause this problem? If air was getting into the system through it, it would make sense for the car to play up?

If the hose was split hot coolant under pressure would be spewing all over the place and you could smell it
