dip stick popped up
Hi all,
I changed my oil today and noticed my dipstick was popped out. There was some oil splatter around the valve cover, but not much. i have a CTSC with 7.5 psi pulley, and crank vents installed ( both have arrows pointing away from the valve cover). The SC has been on the car over a year as well as the 7.5 psi pulley, and this has never happened before. The crankvents were a recent installment.
any ideas? TIA

turn the dipstick 180 degrees and put it back in. that helps to keep it from backing out. if you have krankvents installed correctly and if they're working correctly then it shouldn't pop out as there is no pressure inside the crankcase

pretty common on even stock cars....... FYI if you turn the dip stick around it will never pop out again
I had a friend that had this problem, the dealer took his whole top end of the engine apart, replaced everything with new stuff.... after everything was back together it still popped out.
nothing is wrong with your car.

Backwards FTW.
Car is fine. Dipstick O-rings a little greasy. You can clean it off with degreaser (make sure you Q-tip out the place where it sits). But turning it 180 degrees works better.
