Is it normal for the diff to make a faint revolving sound when coming to stop? Under slow speeds I can hear it making a revolving sound. It's faint but you can hear it. Or, maybe I'm wrong its not a the diff at all? I've had both bearings and hubs replaced not too long ago so the sound is not from that. Diff fluid has been changed every 15k.

i dont hear mine. i have stiffer mounts that allows me to hear the diff at higher speeds but nothing a little radio and exhaust cant drown out. but sorry op, i dont hear anything. BUT what i do hear are my dumb slotted/drilled brakes when coming to a stop. terrible idea.

Amsoil severe gear 75w-110 for the last 3 changes.

I'm running 80w140 redline. It quieted the diff noise substantially from using 80w90. On redlines website they state that you can use the 80w140 where noise deadening is desired . It flows better cold than 80w90 and has higher temp viscosity protection and higher efficiency.
I still have some noise though. I think it is just normal to have some noise. Probably hear it more on our car because we are sitting so close to the rear diff .

If you recently replaced bearings/hubs, could be rear tires. Tires can get noisy as they wear and age. I'm on my second set of Dunlop Star (255) rears and both sets seemed to growl near the end.

I recently had my trans serviced for the same noise you are describing. It was the output bearings.

^ +1 I mostly hear the diff noise cruising at low speed speeds in first gear only. Don.t really notice in other gears . So not too concerned Plus my car only has about 26,400mi. Changed the diff fluid 3 times allready. First time was to get rid of some noise I was having with the fluid that came in the car new. When making real tight turns. 1st two were tomei full synthetic hypoid gear oil gl5 80w-90. Last was redline full synthetic 80w-140.
