Differential And Tranny Help
Hey guys;
I want to change the fluids myself but my garage is at a slight incline both horizontally and vertically. That is, each wheel is higher or lower than ground level. The incline is not too significant but the car will roll down slowly if it is not on parking (e-brake) brake.
Anyway, I want to replace my fluids - oil, differential and tranny. Changing the oil on incline is not as problematic since I can gauge level via the dipstick. Problem is, with the tranny and diff, I have to measure the level via the fill bolt hole. To get an accurate fill, the car needs to be level. So my question, is it safe to slightly overfill the tranny and diff fluids? Or underfill? Depending on how I orient the car (front-in or rear-in), I will have a slight over- or under-fill. Which is better?
Thanks!

Yeah it's perfectly fine to slightly(keyword is slightly) overfill both your tranny and diff. If i recall, I think roadrage once said that the diff has like an overflow valve too or something like that.
