Differential removal problems.
I'm totally screwed. The bolts that hold my propeller shaft to the differential are all messed up. It looks like someone has stripped and i was worried about stripping them myself. Does anyone have an idea how to get the bolts out. I thought about cutting a slot in the end with a die grinder but wondering what ideas you have. I'm freaking out because my differential comes tomorrow and i want to be able to ship my core out right away.

Been here before, I took my Dremel and ground flat spots on the bolt heads and then used the vise grip method to remove them - I hope I dont get flamed but I used the bolts again

I unbolted the driveshaft from the transmission and dropped the driveshaft and diff out together. Once out, I cut off the fouled heads with a dremel and cutoff wheel. Once you pry the clip off the headless bolt, you can unscrew it by hand. There are pics in my thread in the Carolinas forum.
