I never had any problems with the LE1605 and almost nothing on the magnet each drain.

What's special about Fullerene WS2? I have never heard of that before.

Good point. I'm reconsidering the new LE1605. According to the TDS (updated in my original post), new LE1605 is slightly different from old LE1605. While it doesn't have the GL-5 cert, I doubt they have changed the formula in a way that'd make it perform worse, they still have Duolec in there.

WS2 stands for tungsten disulfide, like molybdenum disulfide it is an inorganic molecule. This version of tungsten disulfide is an excellent dry lubricant. It performs much better than MoS2 and graphite, and mixes better with oil.

I would NOT put this in the transmission, EVER, however in the diff, or engine, yessir!

I know that it is an older post, but I have a question.

Based on tons of research I had been changed Differential fluid in 2017 to AMSOIL 75W-110, which looks like follows I want to replace the differential fluid again, but it looks like the bottling changed at AMSOIL website to "https://www.amsoil.com/p/amsoil-severe-gear-75w-110-100-synthetic-gear-lube-svt/?code=SVTQT-EA". Does anyone know if anything change internally to it or I am still good to use the new edition in Washington state? Please let me know.

It's a multigrade GL-5 hypoid gear oil. No concerns. Comes in handy squeeze containers too.

Have no idea what the Washington State question was all about. It's good in all States and Provinces.

According to California, it causes cancer, reproductive harm and induces birth defects.
Even water has a prop 65 warning!

Mobile 1 has their 70w 110 that is high quality. Billman has pined about he has seen good results from those that use that in the diff. For me it is easy to obtain compared to Amsoil and the price is right. I change it out each year to have a reason to go into my shop.

AFAIK mobil does not make a 75w110, in synthetic just 75w90 and 75w140. Amsoil makes a 75w110 which would basically be the closest to the old 90wt spec in todays gear oil spec.

Also puddymod who does all the diff builds recommends 75w140 btw.

im currently still running LE1605. but if i had to pick a different brand to run i would either run Amsoil 75w110 or 75w140

if you want to stick with lubrication engineers fluid you can also get this 75w140. yes its expensive but ive heard good things

LE-9920 is the good stuff..
LE's 9920 Synolec exceeds requirements for MIL-L-2105D, U.S. Steel 224, AGMA 9005-D94, API GL-5, Rockwell 0-76-B and is GO-J approved by Mack.
This is only expensive because Lubrication Engineers only sells this by the barrel and Mag-HyTec decants into quart bottles.

Prop 65 is one of the biggest bureaucratic piles of mouth breathing nonsense out there. lol. That is why everything out there has that warning label, because no one in their right mind would try to actually stay compliant with it.

But one thing is for sure, if you use any of these oils your babies will be born naked
