Differential clunking....

Differential clunking....
The LSD in my diff works great... but when i do low speed turns, for example pulling into a parking spot with the clutch pushed in,
a clunking noise comes from the rear end, im pretty sure its the differential because i have no idea what else it could be.
has anyone had this problem before?
its not a click, its a clunk lol
Thanks for your help,
Nathan

I have a similar sound when i engage the clutch pedal. It sounds like a deep clunk, I took it to Honda when i first got the car and they said the clutch master cylinder was leaking, so replaced that but the sound did not go away.
I believe I've also read on the forums of other people with similar problem/sound, their solution was re-torquing the axle nut. It seems you can do this by simply removing the center cap, un-staking and removing the axle nut, oiling (not greasing, not sure why) the threads and contact surface of nut, then re-torquing to 220ft/lbs.... use a 36mm axle nut socket.
I also need to do this myself, hopefully it work.

Ive already done the whole re-torque the axle nut fix, I had that "clicking" noise, but this is a clunk while the clutch pedal is pushed in and while the car is making a sharp turn. If I am cruising down the road and push the clutch in, it doesnt make a noise, but when i do low speed turns it makes it.

Nothing is loose. You have a sticky LSD unit. When making low speed parking lot type turns with the clutch pedal in and coasting, you will get a consistent thunk-thunk-thunk.
It happens, and it wont hurt anything.

I changed the diff fluid today and found metal shavings on the drain bolt plug... should i go ahead and get a new diff or should i just keep using this one?
