Best FWD motor the F20-22 is the best motor hands down, Yes the k20s respond really well to bolt ons because from the factory they just have a restrictive exhaust/intake etc...
Fseries all the way=) Not counting the f series accord motors ha

I few people on the clubrsx forums are tuning into the high 200whp range NA. The k20 motors have good potential. IMO they're the best series of motor Honda has released to date.
WRONG! F series is the best motor to date from Honda, or any other company for that matter. Just so happens that the K comes in almost every car Honda makes. Where as the F only comes in the s2000. A lot more aftermarket support. Kial007 has his making 256whp right now with stock headers, cams, and intake manifold. Others have made 310hp with inlinepro stroker motors.

the i-vtec really gives the K a big advantage over the F. afterall the F was more or less the development for the K in terms of the engine packaging. even under boost the K series has a much more linear power graph compared to an F. the F is like a high tech B series. if they added i-vtec to the F that would probably yield more power and response and maybe even torque down low where the F really lacks.

The k20's limitation seems to be the head. The s2k head outflows it by wide margins. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
k20 has the best flowing head so far! But not sure why it makes way more torque than ours.

How much flow is that? The f20 flows like 315 cfm..

I-vtec is for efficiency, not for overall power. It gives the tuner something more to work with but it also adds a lot of weight to the valve train. You can get the same thing by adding cam gears. Just not as easy to tune. Real high end motors don't use VCT.

no you cant get the same thing by adding cam gears. you get a much broader powerband with i-vtec. if you have seen dynos you would be able to tell.

You cant have cam timing change throughout the power band, but you can make changes with them. Broader power band would mean you saw an f20 and a k20 with the same turbo setup to compare. right..

yes we have a dyno. if you want i could post a k20 turbo dyno and you will thoroughly understand why the k20 is superior to an f20
