difference between the f20c and f22c
#11
The f22 has more torque which helps on the dyno to see a little bit more hp than the f20. more displacment, lower redline. f20s hp peaks at around 8500 to 8700 rpm. don't rightly know when a f22 hp peaks.

The OP asks a vague question in a vacuum though.
AP1 or 2 tranny?
AP1 or 2 ECU? or what EMS?
What form of boosting? Turbo or Supercharger?
How are we to give useful, meaningful, and not full of shit advice without more info?

i believe that if you are planning to boost, you would likely want a lower compression ratio. i believe the f22 has the lower comp ratio which is why some of the users say it likes the boost. there are many boosted s2000's with many different set ups. i've seen a few ap1's with around 25lbs boost getting peak hp at only 7k rpms. so it's really how you want the engine set up before you make a decision on which one to buy.
also the boosts with lower rpms are generally turbo boosted. however superchargers tend to give better throttle response. as a lot of us are saying, learn the basics first and research more on what you want. don't rush this mod or you may end up blowing an engine or two quickly thus costing a lot of money.

I believe the f22's power band was moved so the hp peaks 1k rpms earlier than the f20's. Which is about 7700-7800 rpm...

the powerbands are the same. this is a dyno of before and after my f22 swap. same car f20 vs f22. You can see the powerband is identical.
How is that f22 running to 9k? Standalone or ap1 ecu?
Hmm...I've read everywhere that the power band has been moved lower?
Good to know.

ap1 ecu with VAFC 2, I only swapped in the F22 longblock. so everything is ap1. I was actually surprised when I saw this myself. I did expect the powerband to look almost the same. maybe the tuning of an ap2 ecu is the difference.
