difference between amsoil oils
Was just trying to order some 5w30 but then noticed there is an "oe" labeled synthetic oil as well as another. O.e. is obviously "original equipment" so i am confused.

The OE line is their least expensive oil, designed to go over 3000 miles and up to most manufacturer recommended oil change intervals which average around 5k-7k miles. It is a group 3 oil afaik. They have the XL line which is a group 3 oil as well designed to go up to about 10k mile oil change intervals. These oils are legally able to be called synthetic but they are group 3 oils that are highly refined oil products. XL is a bit more expensive than the OE line. Then they have their 100% synthetics which are true synthetic group 4/5 oils, which traditionally were designed to run up to 25k miles under certain conditions, they are a fair bit more expensive oils. Their 100% synthetic oils have the highest specs under a number of different categories and are regarded as being their best oil. People could argue oil all day long though, my preference would be the signature series line of 100% synthetic, though I'm really liking what I see with their Z-Rod line of oil, that looks pretty cool. They also offer some European formulas which have lower levels of additives to protect emmissions systems and they play around with different viscosities.
