Question Diff problem - what would it sound like?

What would the diff sound like if it was going to start giving problems? I know there could be many answers to this... there are a couple of threads on the clicking sound when reversing, but today my car did this when I was moving forward?

Stock - except for the intake.

Its not loud enough to hear on video - you can also feel it when it happens - difficult to describe. It's a short deep Click-Click-Click-Click, then gone.

Its like the sound described in other threads when reversing on a slight incline, except mine happened going forward.

i think there was a thread somewhere that said that the clicking noise could be remedied by re-torquing the spindle nut. it's the axle nut, 36mm i think, the one that is staked. don't know the torque off hand but for that nut size i imagine it's fairly high. i remember something to do with that nut...

Hey mate, i bet that sound comes up regularly when u reverse or go over a bump while reversing etc?
I had the same problem with mine in OZ. I re-greased the spindle thingy for
$450aud, went back after 2 weeks as the sound came back... replace that nut thingy for like $12aud and the sounds NEVER came back.

Hope i was of help.

Ok - I've noticed the sound when going forward as well - but only when the car is pulling away, it 'clicks' once or twice - still the spindle nut?
