I agree. the more data we get the better.

www.blackstone-labs.com it'll cost a little cash to get it done, but worth it not just for us but yourself as well.

i think i'll do a UOA of my mobil 1 on the fluid I have in there now, but at a later date. (just changed it)

Definitely keep us posted . I'm half tempted to do a UOA for my stock fluid when I change it out soon (I'm at 8,200 miles) and then again when I change the LE607 out. Is it just the standard anyalsis we need done? If so I'd say thats well worth the $20 they charge.

I've never seen a UOA on the OEM diff oil fill, so that would be very valuable for us to have in the journals. I'm not sure anyone ever verified what it is either. Thanks.

I wish I could say that the first one back with a UOA on a decent change interval for the LE607 gets a free base membership, but it ain't my site.

Wisconsin, maybe you could bring this up in the moderator's forum and see if Cthree would float such an idea.

Indy: I'll gladly volunteer for it when I change out my OEM fluid. I'll be doing it any day now, just waiting on my LE607 from ricks.

Xviper: Don't we already have INDYMAC's UOA of LE607 in his other post? Regadless I'll volunteer to do the OEM UOA when I change out the fluid and then LE607 UOA when I change that. Free base membership would be great since I was planning to do that this month but now the money is going to blackstone first =).

You are correct. I just saw that thread:

We should continue this discussion over there.

I'm already a member so if they want to give away a membership, I vote for you getting it for a OEM fill UOA. If not, you should join anyway!

That was just a spur of the moment idea I had. I don't think it's gonna happen.

I am by no means an oil expert as some of our members on the board are, so all I know is what I have learned from experience when it comes to diff fluid. Around two months ago I changed all of my fluids and when I put the LE607 in the diff when it was cold out in NY, it was like jelly in consistency and the car really did not want to shift when it was cold out. I would not recommend this if you live in a cold climate unless you are willing to swap it out when it gets cold outside. I have since put Mobil 1 synthetic in and it has worked great.
