Any feedback on this setup?
Did you get everything cryo-treated or did research show it wasnt worth it? If you are going to be driving the car how you say, I think you should be ok. But do know that even people with a lot of upgrades to the rear and less power than you have trashed them. Talk to KmFromLA on here, I forgot what he was running but he had a lot done to the rear end and still managed to blow it out three times (not sure if all 3 times had the same setup), however, I believe he was using the car for drag. These diffs are undersized for what they have to do, especially if you are dropping the clutch at higher than most cars redline. Did you ask ardy about his feedback on that setup? He would probably be able to chime in with a lot more helpful info.

subscribing to see a price!
Well, off the bat Id like to use a Nismo diff. Cost on that is $800 I think brand new w/LSD.
Next up is axles. Those will be at LEAST $700, custom-made.
The Driveshaft(propellar) will have a core charge, but this will cost $100 or so to retro-over to fit the Nissan LSD, and this is supplying YOUR driveshaft.
The mounts to mount the LSD will run around $300 for nice billet CNC units, and these will either mount to the stock rubber mounts, or to the car, it is undecided yet.
$1900 for a relatively bullet-proof rear end.
These prices are very speculative, and I may not be producing a "kit". But I thought I would break down some pricing, probably on the low side(could be as much as $2500, as axles may be outrageous) for everyone reading this thread.

Guys I can not give you an exact cost yet, but I am thinking anywhere between $2,500 - $3,000 US , I will know sometime next week.

Cheers

awesome lets keep it coming.hopefully there is a differential solution after all.I am just concerned on the results, like how the car will drive with this nissan diff.axles shouldnt be an issue unless you plan on running it on the drag strip or launching the piss outta car.For those guys out there who run second gear and up I think the diff would be more than enough. But then again I could be wrong.Well lets see what elaug has to offer.

thnks again to all you guys !

the s2000 is getting a lot of publicity so a solution is not too far away. I have been consulting with several different companies including Diff Techniques in Australia with the nissan diff, Quaife NA, Driveshaft shop corp, Torsen, and some others in an attempt to reach a solution. Glad to see Cody (Lovefab) working on something too and I'm certain he will come up with a reasonable solution. I am currently working with another private racecar builder who is finishing up a domestic swap. It will be a very close fit and parts will be readily avaialble. There have been several swaps already completed with the s2000 but the price still remains high at around 3K for all components. As for the tranny, shot peen and cryo along with the carbon coated syncros should help considerably. I will keep everyone posted on the projects...
