Default Did I make a boo boo?

Here is my story, IM cruisn going about 75-80mph in a 60 mph zone, (I know im speeding). I am on a 2 lane rd, and I come up on a car doing the speed limit, I I come up with the idea to pass him, so I downshift to what I thought was 4th gear, It wasnt, it was 2nd. I instantly realized my mistake, and the car hit redline for at the most 3/4's of a second... in 2nd gear. I am a bit worried, I instantly put the car in neutral and just rolled until I had to turn off the road at a gas station. I listened to the car for any abnormal noises, and everything seemed fine. But could there possibly be something wrong? Keep in mind that I was going approx 77mph, and I have a Stock AP1. Did I hurt my BABY Any comments would be great, thanks.

Just an FYI just because the CEL didn't come doesn't mean you are fine the only true
way to know if you mechanically over reved the engine is to inspect your valve train
I speak from experience and if you search this forum I'm sure you'll find the thread
that Billman has and all the members who thought they where ok because the CEL
didn't come on but yet had 1 or more cracked retainers and valves about to drop into
the engine

TO BE SURE BRO GET IT CHECKED OUT !!!

Its allot cheaper getting it checked and doing minor repair done then doing the old
pull out and pray method and the your engine grenades one day and your like WTF ?
