Did I do something wrong?
Hey guys I just finished doing the coolant bypass to the throttle body and intake manifold by rerouting the hose that goes into the throttle body into the return hose for the coolant after the IAC. Started her up and idles shot up to about 3k on startup and went back down to about 1.5 but now the motors shaking side to side and has a knocking noise. Similiar to what you would have with a bent valve. Did I forget to do something? Theres no CEL.

Am I suppose to disconnect the hoses from the IAC and drain the coolant out of them so it wont clog it up? since theres movement going through there anymore? anybody? worried ive done some damage to my car
Ok newb mistake of the year, I accidently routed the coolant line to the other hose that comes out of the intake manifold to the left of the iac, I switched them up now the car idles roughly at about 300rpm, the car was only on for about 5 seconds back then so could there be any damage that couldve been done?
damn 130 views and nobody knows what could be wrong? im desperate here

Could you have possibly hydrolock your engine by sucking up coolant thru intake manifold. Maybe bent rod with scraped cylinder wall by the piston head? I don't know man. Possible but hope not. Pop your plugs or head and check.

I didnt route it to the intake manifold, but I connected it to the hose under it, that connects to the pipe on the left of the IAC. Not sure where it goes but either way it was only on for about 5 seconds, and I could not feel any coolant or see any drip when I unplugged it.

if you can, can you post pics of your setup? then we can see which hoses are where.
u wouldnt see any coolant because the motor would have sucked it all up. I really hope you didnt suck in any coolant to the motor .

See that brass looking pipe that points downward, theres a hose connected to that, which I joined with the coolant route. When it shouldve been the hose connected to the black one pointing down next to it.

Thats an IAC Valve, Idle Control Valve. That is why I am a bit concerned that you could have sucked up some water. Take it out, it is a sensor in a way. Clean it out and dry it out. Reinstall it and try to fire her up.
Pop your intake off and check throttle body for any fluid, Clean the thrttle body.
Good Luck
