Is this right?


I remember reading on the site that their is a friction modified verson, but gm told me this was the only one that they sell.

From what I've read on the board, if it doesn't say Friction Modified on the bottle, its the wrong one.

The product in your picture is the "regular" GM synchromesh. It has been shown to not last very long. The GM "friction modified" is found mainly at Cadillac dealerships and is not widely available. HardTopGuy sells it online.
You can certainly put what you bought into the tranny without is hurting anything but you'll probably have to change it again soon.

How come the syncromesh on HTG is AC Delco brand?

I thought it was a GM product if bought at GM dealorships?

Is AC Delco a GM sub brand?

GM is not the only brand for "GM FM". I don't know why but it's the same stuff.

I was not able to buy it at the Caddy dealership but their computer did find it (by part number 12377916) stocked at a local Chevy dealer. It is certainly cheaper from Hartopguy.
