Did a compression test
What do you think about these numbers? I did the test twice.
Cly 1- 210-210
Cly 2- 205-210
Cyl 3- 210-215
Cyl 4- 220-220
What do you guys think? Oil analyzes comes back perfect. The car has 156k on it.

Honda says they should read 240 but thats not to say if they are at 205 or 210 its bad. Your looking for variation more then anything. All your numbers are right around 210 if you had a cylinder at 180 then that would be cause for concern. Do a leak down test too, while your in the spirit.

^ interesting. Our cars are going "bad" in the same exact order. Wonder what causes cyl 2 to read lower then the rest. Also our cyl 4's both are higher then the rest.
I guess I'm not looking to bad with 156k on the car

I was taught if your compression is more or less then 15 off from the next cylinder for any given cylinder then you may want to do further investigation.

Hello,
I did a compression test while my s2000 was up to normal operating temp.
Here's my results. There is a bit of variation. Are these results within spec's or am I in trouble?
Cyl 1: 205
Cyl 2: 240
Cyl 3: 210
Cyl 4: 250
I have never overheated the car even slightly. I bought it new so I know the car from day 1. I get on it from time to time but don't beat it or over-rev it.
If it helps, I posted a thorough overview of my car and what I've done to it so far to remedy the problem which is p300 random cyl misfire and p301-304 for cylinder misfires on all 4 cylinders. My post is in the "Under the Hood" forum, and my thread is "RANDOM MISFIRE - 2005 S2K".
Thanks..
