i guess for me it got to the point where, the risk might be worth the presumed benefit. then again, you may regret it.

Since burning that much that fast, the risk of engine damage due to running low on oil is significant. All it takes is one time not checking level when you should. Its likely to happen eventually.

While there is risk in a flush, it seems worth it in this situation. Its like a risky medical procedure. At some point it becomes worth the risk (like if it has a good shot of saving your life).

Amazon Amazon
If my engine burned oil this quickly, I would definitely remove the spark plugs, pour in a few ounces of ACDelco X66P into each cylinder through the spark plug holes, hand crank the engine through a few revolutions, leave them sit for a while*, then crank the engine with the spark plugs out (rags to control mess) to blow out excess and prevent hydrolocking, then idle the engine for a bit, and change the oil.

*for a while - I don't know how long this should be. Is it half an hour, an hour, or overnight? Not sure how this stuff interacts with aluminum, FRM liners, etc.

Agreed with above said, if compression checks out I'd vote valve seals. Any smoke on high vacuum?
