Funny you should mention that. All my engine swap experience comes from fitting an L18 turbo in a 1966 Datsun Fairlady in the late eighties. I had to cut and shut the amazingly over engineered front cross member so that the oil pump didn't hit it.

They're the kind of problems that you don't find out about until you have got it all in pieces. That's what turns a 2 day job into a rotting heap in the garage.

I actually had two Fairladys and the other had an H20 engine from a Nissan Urvan in it. Basically the same block but 2L instead of the original 1.6L. Heaps of torque, but didn't rev.

20B wouldn't have too many reliability issues as it doesn't need to be pushed as hard as a 13B... not to mention that most rotary reliability issues deal with the FD3S itself and the 150+ vaccum lines that accompany it. By going single turbo, the reliability of it goes up considerably... but anyways... to each his own.
Zip ties went a long way by improving on some of the issues involving the vac lines.

A 20B... now that's something I've never seen, but only saw pics and some vids online. It looked pretty amazing from what I've seen, dropped into a AE86 and all.

if you have the money go for it!
it would definitely be something outside the norm and would be very very fun to drive u could boost the hell out of

as im sure u all know engine swaps get messy at times so it would be $$$/pain cuz its not just a b17 from a integra going into a civic naaa mean>

Can I ask why you wanted to do this swap? I'm not flaming you or anything and hell I love the sr20 I used to own an s13 coupe and it was all I could dream about. I probably will end up doing an sr20 project one day soon since I've always wanted to put one in the old school Nissan hardbody pickups. But I digress did you not like the f20?

I know this is an old thread... But why remove a 2.0 liter NA engine that already comes with the perfect gearbox and put in a 2.0 liter turbo engine that makes the same amount of power(or less, depending on gen.)? Just build & boost the f20 for cheaper and much less of a headache... No need to worry about a custom driveshaft, mounts, wiring, etc.

But it is your money.

I'm doing the swap because the sr20 will go in with me paying our 1000 dollars by the time I'm done, I'll have 400 wheel, upgrades and tuning are cheap, it's original, and I'll have an engine that's capable of 1400 hp, Also Nissan trans' are cheaper and more reliable. The f20 is a great engine but I always felt safer with a stock turbo motor then boosting an na motor. Sorry for the short hand. Writting on my phone.
