Default Detailed Video of Engine noise

Ok so the noise I initially thought was TCT noise ended up not being it. The noise is less noticeable when cold, than after driving it all day it really starts to make noise. I got video and so I'll point out the different time on the video where the noise is most audible although personally is audible the whole time. I called Science of Speed and he said its a long over-due valve-adjustment. I got a nice wholesaled price for retainers and cotter pins for like $ 20.00 and labor will be cheap so I'm gonna change'em out which the VA will be included as well. At 1:20 I rev'd it and the idle stayed high and didn't climb down until I rev'd it again

Set in 720P to hear it properly. Noises at: 0:30-0:33s

This is a video, and his sounds just like mine

Disclaimer: No, I did not put that crappy intake and tubing. Bought the car with it

Agree, I heard nothing out of the ordinary. Even when you pulled on the throttle cable, all I heard was the normal sound of the intake pulling in air.

I will say that the intake setup is just asking for heat soak. The air filter is totally exposed allowing all of that hot engine air to be sucked up. I would look at changing that if you can.

Otherwise, the car actually sounded fine. Any CELs?

Our engines sound like they run on gravel.

Well... come monday I get the engine inspected, if retainers show any kind of cracking I have AP2s ready to go. Also monday gets valve adjustment. Sucks because I wanted to get myself new O2 sensor and spark plugs... its been eating gas pretty bad.

Check oil pressure. TCT will make noise if the oil pressure is low.
