Denso Iridium falure after 32 miles !
Yeah you read it right.... one of the denso sparkplugs had failed after just 32 miles!
Symptoms: Ruff idle, and stalls after about a minute... Pop'd a TDC for a random misfire, but no specific cylinder noted via codes.
Trouble Shooting steps: Checked the Coil pack, and pulled the plugs... Found plug #3 to be clean to the point of looking brand new. Pulled the rest of the plugs to find that they were slightly fowled. Ohm'd out all of the plugs in comparison with #3... Needless to say #3 wasn't reading well.
Solution: Replaced all the Denso's with NRG's... Restarted the S, and it started up smooth. (Very clean idle)
If all goes well i'll finish hooking up the Wideband O2, and Apexi. Maybe start tweeking things in via narrow band while a do a gentle break in of the engine.

That's amazing...
I had 22k on my old AP1 and have 14k on my AP2 with Denso Iridiums and they look and perform just like new.
But more and more stories like this make me want to go back to regular OEM...

Beware of fake Denso plugs. Same goes for NGK. Fakes have made their way into Amazon more recently

I would never run the Denso's with a boosted engine, they use a very thin center electrode that can easily break , not good, stick with the NGK, Densos work better with NA setups, but I would not chance it with boosted engines.
