My guess only. It will pass but if it's noted that the OEM cat was removed and an aftermarket cat is now in place, they may fail you anyway. I don't know exactly how I would handle your situation if I were in your place but I might just re-install the OEM for the test then re-install the Berk after the test is over.

Make sure there is a heat shield around your cat. Every smog inspection I have had done involved the dude using a mirror to look under the car for a cat. If he sees the cat and it looks stock (heat shield), I doubt he will investigate any further. Just hope it passes the sniffer, which I am pretty sure it will.

This one place I went to in Costa Mesa lift up your car to inspect underneath the car. I guess every place is different

^yea not all are like that. and i dont believe its smog legal, but im sure you can get it to pass depending where you go. its not hard to swap anyways.

Go to a smog shop and ask if it passes visual. All they have to do first is look under the side of the car. IF they charge for that, then "fail"

Only legal in cali (*if it has a carb#) if you are over 100k or can prove the old one was damaged or stolen...
