Default Defi Gauge Install

I finished installing my Defi boost and oil pressure gauges by using one of the write-ups on here.
I must say wiring is definitely not my strong point haha
I ran the 3 wires (red, orange, and white) to the fuse box's gauge lights, battery constant 12v, and ignition sockets.

Problem: My brand new battery keeps dying now. It will charge, but if I leave the car sit for a day or two it wont start.

So my question is.. is my wiring wrong? I dont think that I should have anything plugged into the battery constant 12v???

Also, I read that I can combine the orange and white wires, is this true?

If someone could please explain the situation, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

That's how mine is wired up. No problems. Perhaps you have something else installed that is drawing power? Do you have a voltmeter? With the car off, check the voltage across the battery terminals to see if there is a large draw. Even if you had the wiring mixed up, I can't see how the Defi gauges would drain it within a day.

Hmm okay well i think it is my yellow top battery that is bad.
It won't hold a charge to save its life haha.
Even with a charger on it, the car still wouldnt turn over.
So I took it back and had it replaced under the 3 year warranty.
I made the mistake of storing the car over winter with the batter still in
So today, I just put a new yellow top in it and we'll see if that fixes my wiring "problem" haha

bringing back an old topic because im still having trouble..

with a new yellow top battery and the 3 wires from the defi gauges are plugged in to the gauge lights, ignition, and v12 constant in the fuse box.
but my car still dies after a week (7-10 days) if i dont drive it.

if i drive it every other day, its fine and i never have a problem..but if i let it sit for a week it wont turn over..

should the gauges really be plugged into the v12 constant?

any advice would help!

Whenever I have done gauges in the past, I use a circuit tester to make sure the power source I tapped isn't giving power when the car is off.

alright well the v12 constant is definitely getting power when the car is off,
i unplugged the middle wire a while ago and the gauges still work (for some reason)

even with the middle v12 constant wire pulled, the car still dies after a week of non-use!!

I would check the battery grounds, make sure they have a solid, clean connection.
