Dead spot/hesitation at 2500rpms, otherwise accelerates fine

Good info here. I have the same problem and have always wondered what on earth was causing this. How much would it cost to get a dealership to check this out?

Why are you guys pushing on the gas pedal under 3k rpms anyway? The motor isnt even in its normal trq band until 3000-3500. At 2000-2500rpm at 50% throttle you are forcing that engine to work much harder then it needs to, and I'm not saying you don’t have a hiccup you cant alleviate with some attention or tuning, but it isn't out of the realm of possibility that the motor is just simply rejecting what your asking of it. Try driving it as you normally should and see what happens - Cruise at 3000-3500rpm, shift above that.
