DC5-R Recaros in S2000
had a test drive in the DC5 Type-R in New Zealand (RSX-S) and the Recaro seats were amazing!
Way better than the S2000 seats...
So out of curiousity does anyone know the model of these Recaros? Are the seat rails the same as the S2000 ones?

The DC5 recaros that come with the RSX Type R's would least likely fit in the S2000. Actually, after working on the floor board of my car to get side rails to work and now custom rails for my Sparco, I'm 99.999999% sure that the bottom fo the seat rail would not work.
As for replacing the seat itself into the S2000 rail - this might be a slim possibility, but there are other factors that play into this - the dimensions of the seat itself. Only a few aftermarket seats fit into the S2000 that will allow you to close the door, place the seat at a height that doesn't put your face over your windshield, and that will allow usage of the center console.
If you want to know more about aftermarket seats and rails, let me know. I've got a few on order right now.

A few? Let us know what you come up with.
I was thinking of cutting the seat rail rear tabs off and welding them flush to lower the stock seat about 3/4". I am 6'1" and feel too tall in the car, plenty of legroom, but I don't like the upright seating position and the view through the windshield frame.

yes, I have those custom rails that will work on sparco seats and the recaro SPG seat. I sell rails and Sparco seats (REV & Roadster which work with the S2000).
I haven't tried a Milano in our car yet. Its an expensive seat at $889, and because of where the adjustments are on the seat itself, it will be *fixed* in the car once installed. The adjusters will be below a point where movement will be possible, and honestly, I dont see how the seat will fit in the car - given clearance of the door and of the center console.

What about the Sparco Torino fitting in the S2k? I know I can get rails to fit the S2K, also what is the weight of our seats? The Torino weighs 37lbs and the Milano weighs 38lbs. Both are quite heavy but if it weighs less than our seats than I may spring for the Torino.

those are HEAVY seats. the roadster is only 14.6lbs and the bracket is very solid and seems to be heavier. I dunno about the bracket weight though. I'll have to check on that.
The problem with the Torino and the Milano are: 1) they are bottom mount only, to the brackets I get will not work. The brackets I have are side mount only. If you go with anything else, your head is going to be sticking up over the windshield, and that's just not good. 2) The side adjuster would be *very slim* to adjust or even fit in the S - I don't really see this to be functional if it can be installed in the S.
I know you guys want some adjustability in the seats, but the seat + the bracket, will be heavier than the stock seats (not definate, but pretty sure since I've had my seats out a few times).
