Default Cylinder 2 misfire

So I just bought my '00 ap1 3days ago. 67k on it from american auto in fullerton, ca(dont go there buy from them..SHADY ASS SALESMEN) Anyway...the CEL went on last night already. My buddy hooked up his scanner to my car and, I don't remember the exact code, but it was reading a misfire in the second cylinder. The car doesn't appear or feel sluggish or unresponsive when I step on the gas. The car seems to be fine althought it does idle abit low at times right below 1k. Around 8 or 900. However my friend, after he drove my car, said it felt just as fine as his ap2 which doesn't have a problem. I have not changed anything since bought the car. Any ideas? I'm pretty bummed out.. I really wanted this car n it's already with the CEL N clutch buzz.

I'm his buddy that lent him the scanner tool. As far as power is concerned I haven't felt anything out of the ordinary. The car runs fine, feels normal and everything. I have read other threads that have mentioned injectors as being the culprits. We haven't done compression tests or leak down tests yet either. There isn't any smoke coming out from the exhaust either. I strongly believe its the injector or possiblyeven a bad coil and or spark plug.

So a quick update. I was driving n I was in 1st gear n I swerved so that I wouldn't run over this car than ran in front of my car n my foot slipped off the clutch and I stalled out. Anyway after stalling out I turned the car back on n the CEL was no longer on.

Was the misfire recorded at idle? The scan tool will tell this in the freeze data.

This could be a just a coincidence but whenever a mis shift happens, cylinder 2 is the first one to get damaged. Reason I say this because I mis shifted a couple times but it wasn't as severe. So when I had the retainers changed out, 2 of the retainers from cylinder 2 on the intake side had hairline cracks.

Scanned the car again while idling and I still got the same read for a misfire in cylinder 2

check the coil packs, spark plugs and do a compression test.
