Today the mechanic found a MAP voltage inconsistency, whatever that means. He thought there could be a mechanical issue with the valve or its adjustment, and apparently he flipped coils to eliminate that possibility.

Larry Hopkins Honda was worthless, clearing the codes and doing basic unrelated work that of course did not fix the problem.
Burlingame Honda did a fantastic job of diagnosing a cylinder head problem, which was blamed on overrev from my first track day. Expensive to fix, but no one to blame but myself. The car is in great shape now.
