Cyl 1 coil extremely hot w/ multiple cyl misfires AP1
So last motor I had the coil and spark plug melted together ruining the motor while blowing out the coil fuse under the dash. So fast forward to now(8 months later) and I finally replaced the motor with a used one from a 2002. Reused the original engine harness and ecu for the swap since they did not seem damaged. I had used set of used spark plugs and coil packs that I had laying around which got the car running and test drive to make sure all was well. Car ran great and I have put maybe ~500 miles if that on the car but recently it started throwing for multiple misfire. Took a trip to the Honda dealership and bought all new spark plugs since I had old ones and decided to park the car. When I went to install the new plugs, the connector clips to the coil broke and on one of the coils it had a little bit of oil.. So I went back to Honda and ordered tube seals and a valve cover gasket set plus the connectors(eBay). While the valve cover was off I went ahead and had It painted. Put everything back together and now the coil on cyl 1 gets extremely hot within a few sec of being turned on. All other coils are cool to touch except cyl 1 coil. All the spark plugs are tight and connections are good. Could it be the ecu went bad? I swapped coil packs 3 different times and all of them get hot on cyl 1. It went from multiple cyl misfire (which assumed were coils) to barley starting and cyl 1 throwing misfire and getting extremely hot? Any help would be appreciated

Maybe excessive resistance going to coil 1? Maybe when you were installing the new clip?

Found out I had the wires mixed up and it was causing the coil pack to over heat. It was suppose to be white wire/black wire/white wire but I had it white/white/black. I depinned the connector and replaced all the coil packs as well. Car started right up and without any misfires and sounds a lot stronger on start up.
