custom B-pipe with OEM exhaust...
Not sure if this is the correct place to post but here goes. Has anyone tried to make a custom B-pipe without resonater for the S2000? This would lose a few lbs., flow a bit better and probably not be all that loud either. A decent comprimise between a whole new cat back and the OEM exhaust.

Well my idea was the open up the B-pipe, this keeps the car legal, no CEL issues either. The B-pipe resonator quites things down a bit but lets face it, the OEM exhaust is VERY quit. I remember seeing a diagram of the OEM exhaust and I think it would just take a straight pipe a couple feet long with some flanges welded on. You could also replace the cat with a straight pipe for less weight and even better flow.

I would love to see a cut-away of the stock exhaust as well as all aftermarket ones. I have been told that the JDM spec law require a more restrictive design the US laws allow. Would love to see if it is true.
