Current state of NA tuning
Okay, while we know a lot about the superchargers and turbos available for the S2000, let's revisit the state of normally aspirated tuning.
In particular, what is the state of these projects?
1) Hondata tuneable ECU?
2) Toda or Spoon cams?
3) Can headwork lead to hp gains?
4) Are cam gears of any use?
The car has been out for 3 years now, and I think it's time to get a reliable tuning upgrade path going here.
So where do we stand?

More elaboration, please.
The ECU has been in development for like a year now, when can we expect to see it delivered?
Only one set of Toda cams has been delivered as far as I know. What gains can we expect to see with these?
What is the status of the Spoon cams?
What are the gains with headwork, with or without cams and ECU?
Are there cam gears available? If not, when will they be available?

I always think it's odd to pose questions that only the manufacturer's can answer or worst yet that can only be answered through assumptions. For example
Hondata ECU - not out yet so how would anybody know except for the manufacturer. Contact them.
Toda or Spoon Cams - Toda, only one set produced, more will becoming in the end of the month early next month. HamS2000 was able to get good gains throughout the powerband. Spoon Cams, not available R&D Motorsports said that when contacted they stated not in production. Although someone else said they heard they will be released in Jan 03.
Headwork - ask UL about his project, with or without Cams, hard to answer since only one confirmed set has been produced so far between Toda and Spoon it would be an guess on anyones part because it wasn't used with headwork. The cams were used with ECU and will/should provide additional HP through tuning.

Best bet for unreleased products is to always go straight to the distributors/retailers/manufacturers. Most of the sponsors on this board have always been willing to answer my questions for me through their Japanese contacts. Try it.

Questions 1-3 are the main reason I come back to this site day after day. The quest for more NA power.
We will eventually have better options, but for now, patience is key.
