Default CTEK Charger Hardware

For those folks who have hard wired their CTEK battery chargers where have they attached the ring terminals and stowed the cable to ensure it doesn't get damaged when driving? I was thinking o two options.
1. Directly to the terminals in the engine bay, but I didn't see an obvious way to mount the cable and still make it accessible without popping the hood.
2. The other option I was thinking was of mounting it to the terminals in the drivers compartment fuse box. I'm not sure if this is OK as I do not know if there is anything else on this circuit (diode etc.) or if the wire gauge to those terminals can handle the charging current.

How has everyone else done this?

Thankss

Edit: Dang i mis-typed the subject of this post. It should be "Hardwire"

I got mine poking out from under the hood for easy access, I use the blinky led version which tells you the battery state of charge.

I just open the hood. Not much chance of driving off still connected to the wall.

Flanders, do you have any pics of how your routed the cable under the hood and tied it down? Do you have any issues with the plug banging the hood and scratching the paint etc?

Chuck, I might just do that if I can't find a good way to keep the connector from banging around and mounting it to the interior doesn't work.

I've have a different brand (I thinks it's actually a Black & Decker) maintainer/trickle charger under my hood for 16 years now. I have it wired with the ring terminals connect directly to the battery cables, then mounted the charger to the outboard passenger side of the OEM airbox, then ran the 110 power cable to the front bumper and all tied up with zip ties. Just plug it in whenever I'm not planning to drive for more than a 1-2 weeks. Works fine, no issues after 16 years.

The connector is rubberized and I made a small hole in the plastic trim to secure it with a cable tie. No problems with it scratching or banging.
I've have forgot about it a couple of times and drove off with it connected but somehow it the connector have popped out without causing any damage.
Ground is connected to the upper chassis bolt on the Showa module and positive straight to battery pole.

Normally the wires are just pushed back and in under the fender.
