Thanks for the info. Please keep me up to date with your project as I am DYING to find/fit a roots type SC for the S2k left hand drive. Best of luck on your project.

Don't be so quick to assume... it's been a while since I've checked, but I think $1500 is about right. A dealer or manufacturer might get it for 40% or 50% less than that. I would susepct any kit with it to be at least $4 or $5k since it will require a new manifold.

The M62 supercharger itself really isn't all that expensive.(~1100) I was thinking about producing a kit a one time, but a magnusson rep told me that I could only buy one supercharger because Jackson Racing has an exclusive contract to produce a supercharger for the S2000. If you are making a one-off prototype a lot of the fabrication work can get pretty expensive. My guess would be that to produce a good one off kit you would probably spend about 6 grand. In the end you would definitely have some timing issues due to the nature of the boost and Eaton Superchargers are fairly inefficient in comparison to a good turbo or centrifugal supercharger. If you could work out all the tuning issues it would definitely be a strong runner; and without a doubt more fun for a lot of S2K owners. At the high end of the rev range where the car really shines I would guess that a roots superchargered car would lag behind a centrifugal supercharger or a turbo.

Oh, great. So the only Eaton kit (and probably the only positive displacement kit) will be a piece of shit. That's wonderful. Speaking of the Prelude blower, has anyone seen one in person? They relocated the p/s hose over the valve cover (now you have to remove it to do a valve adjustment) and have a *GHETTO* pulley/drive mechanism to get power to the blower. Not to mention you can't get your hand in to turn a wrench, you'd have to remove the blower drive assy to do a belt change, and you have to rearrange the hard brake lines with zip ties. Hmmm, I wonder why the kit is so cheap... maybe they engineered it that way?
