The worst is when your in a 5 speed and actually get the car into Reverse (sometimes if the RPMs are just right I can go right thru the reverse gate on my other car) and then right as your about to let the clutch out you think hmmm something doesn't seem right. Done that once or twice

yeah the gas tank deff got me as well. i couldnt find it for 20 minutes. i had to call my friend who had an s2k and ask.

I'm just curious what made you think you hurt the car in 5th @ 70 ??

You can cruise around in 4th at that gear and be fine

Your not gonna hurt the car @ 70 unless you drop it in second gear by accident.
