cruise control surges a lot at lower speeds
i was messing around with my cruise control and at low speeds around 30 it accelterates and decelterates a lot it even jerks my head some,,, at highway speedsaround 60 its fine is this normal i havent checked if theres slack in the line yet????? its a 03 with 50k lite miles on it????????????

It's the way it works. Cruse tries to maintain a constant speed and when in toop gear on the freeway you don't feel t but the throtle is being adjusted to maintain the speed you chose. What you are feeling is normal in lower gears as applications of the throtle are more noticable. IOW the car is trying to maintain speed by adding gas when speed is under the set point then backing off when speed is exceeded. The most violent example would be in first gear.
