Default Cruise Control Removal

I am in the process, as I type, of removing my cruise control. I have the box out, but how do I take the cable out. I have it unhooked from the inside but how do I take it out? It doesn't just pull out like i thought it would.

Second question for those of you who have removed it. What do you do with the coolant resevoir? I dont want to put the big ass ugly bracket back on, so how do I bolt the coolant resevoir back?

Also, can I use a different resevior? Like a bottle or something? I thought I read somewhere that it has to be the same height as the radiator, is that true? Also how much coolant does it have to hold?

Thanks,

Zac

I would say to get rid of the wiring loom you will have to follow the cable all the way back and pull it out piece by piece...

as for the reservoir i am not sure what you mean... a piccy would be nice

i just want to relocate the switches away from the steering wheel maybe onto the driver's side of the center console

With the right tools, you could cut off the portions of the bracket you don't need anymore. Be prepared to prime/paint so the cut edge doesn't corrode.

I want to keep the original bracket, so if I ever want the CC back, I can just put it all back together.
