Cruise Control Removal

Cruise Control Removal
I am looking to remove my cruise control as I never use it, I feel much safer having my foot on the gas on the highway curves, also giving me an excuse to put a catch can in its place
I see the cruise control box and it doesn't look hard to remove. Will it trigger a CEL if I just unplug the box and take it out? I think I will leave the cable in its place and zip tie it down along with the plug.
thanks!

wow, I make too many 2 hour trips let alone 10 hour drive sessions in my S, to even THINK about removing my cruise.
What's the benefit of the oil catch can again?

subscribed. I don't think it saves more than a couple of pounds of weight, but Hawaii doesn't have a long enough road to even engage it (or a time when there's no traffic anyway).

How about the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel? Are they removable? I'd like to retain the airbag, but if it comes down to it I'd replace it with a nice suede wheel.

If anybody is running a small batter (Odyssey 680 for example), I have two fixtures that I welded up to hold both the battery and a Greddy Catch Can (the catch can and small battery occupy the same space as the normal S2000 battery). I painted one black and one yellow. The yellow is a close match.
Pay for a box and shipping and you can have them.

Those would be the only 2 places I found!
