Default Cruise Control Question

I'm having issues with my cruise control, and the light on the dash won't even turn on. I've checked the clutch and brake switches, and they are both pressed tight by the white nipple piece. All the fuses seem to be good too.

I was wondering if the cruise control actuator was broken, would the green light light on the dash still turn on, or would the light not come on at all?

Does your horn work?

Also you are making sure the cruise control button is pressed and light up on the left side of the steering wheel?

The horn does work. Cruise control was working before, but the bulb for the switch burned out long ago, but it still worked fine. All of a sudden the cruise control stopped working, and the light under the speedometer doesn't turn on as well.

I checked the fuses (#6, 1.5a under the dash) and the switches for the brake and clutch pedal are firmly pressed while up.

I'm going to attempt to switch the bulb from the defroster to the cruise control module and see if the bulb turns on. If it does I'm guessing its set and resume switch on the steering wheel?

If either the indicator or set/resume switches are the problem, anyway to fix it without replacing?

Also does anyone know how to remove the cruise control indicator switch? Do I have to remove the dash trimmings to remove it? I tried prying on it but didn't want to break anything.
