cruise control not working
My brake light switch oxidized, and not having the time the other day, I took the car to an independent garage. How hard can this be? Change the switch. Well the brake lights work fine, but the Cruise control is not working. How do I diagnose this? I'm not very confident of the garage at this point.

Are you speaking of the parking brake switch or the brake pedal switch?
Assuming you are talking about brake pedal switch, they could have had loose connections at the switch. The switch is a double pull double throw, so although the lights and abs work, the cruise control will not.
Check fuse #6 under dash (15A). One of those two things will most likely be the problem given your situation. Unless they were probing your CC unit which I doubt.
