Cruise Control INOP...Tried search already....
Cruise control is INOP on my 02'. I tried search but everything else I found had something you could tangibly see not work like a light or something. Mine however looks as if it should be working. Light on cruise button works. Light on dash lights up when I hit set. Wont work under 25mph ish. Light on dash turns off when I tap break or Clutch. Checked every fuse in vehicle just to be sure. Horn works, and I can't start vehicle without the clutch pedal being pushed in. Leaning towards the actual actuator under the hood, but I just wanted to check with everyone on here for other ideas before I order one. Thanks!

Looks like everything is functioning correctly. Recommend you glance over the owners manual to familiarize yourself with the car.
Cruise cannot be set under 25 mph
Ignition cannot be started without depressing the clutch
Cruise will deactivate when pressing the clutch or brake pedals

Just realized my mistake in the first post. The cruise light on the dash wont turn on under 25 mph when trying to set it. The cruise control does not function at all, even though the lights and indications show that it is.

Can you set it above 25mph?

No....I cannot set the cruise at all. However, the indicator on the dash is operating as if the cruise is functioning properly. i.e. turns on when set above 25mph, will not turn on when set below. I feel like I'm speaking Chinese or something

one easy check to make----be sure the cable from the actuator unit (on the top of the driver's fender under the hood) is connected to the throttle body.
I don't have a shop manual handy but I bet there is a way to check to see if the actuator itself is working---it's the "last" piece in the puzzle and converts the electrical signals for cruise control into the mechanical action of pulling the cable connected to the throttle body---since all your lights indicate it's working, I'd check the actuator and its cable connection first.

I would be interested to hear some ideas on this as well. My '01 has been without the cruise control for over a year now. All lights function as if the cruise will work, it will just not hold the speed. You can turn it on, and see that it is on... it will just not "set" the speed and hold it.
