Cruise control cancels when I use left turn signal
#5
I agree with XVIPER. If it were my car (out of warranty) I would carefully take it apart and inspect every step of the way. I would first study the schematics and understand the wire colors.
Switching on a turn signal connects the circuit to power. This is also what happens when both buttons are pushed to cancel the cruise control. Both the resume and set signals are connected to power at the same time. I'm not sure how these two circuits would get connected other then some kind of short between them.
Good luck.
FYI
I had my cruise control go out completely because the ribbon wire in the cable reel located in the steering wheel got kinked causing the wire to break. If your problem is some how related to turning the wheel then this could be a possibility.

I'm still under warranty (1 month!) so I'll be heading to the dealer. I just thought someone else might have heard of this issure before.
I checked and turning the steering wheel has no effect - it happens only when using the left signal.
