Cross drilled rotors are not needed for modern brake pads. The main reason for having holes drilled in rotors is to let gas buildup escape. But with modern(1990+) pads, this is not needed. The materials used in the brake pads now do not have that small layer of gas build-up like they did back in the day. If you use cross drilled rotors now, you are only losing much needed friction surface. The only reason to have cross drilled rotors now is for looks. Which is very stupid in my honest opinion. Some people will surely say that cross drilled rotors allow for more cooling of the rotor. That's a bunch of crap, mainly because that extra cooling isn't needed, and it doesn't provide that much more cooling. If you go out to your car, you will see that the rotors have these little fins sandwiched between the two friction surfaces. These are called vented rotors. Almost all rotors on todays cars are vented on the edges. With rotors that are already vented, there is very little need for extra cooling unless you plan on racing 24 hours at LeMans, and I don't think any of you are planning on doing that. Even with avid autocrossers, there is still very little need for extra cooling. Now if you are competing at the national championship levels in SCCA, then yes, I would say that every little bit helps.

The reason for having slotted rotors is that each time a slot passes over the brake pad, the slot in essence wipes the pad clean of most of the brake dust and gives it a semi-clean friction surface. This will give you much better braking performance than holes in your rotors. Your pads will wear more quickly though.

Also, most cross drilled rotors cause uneven wear.

So my verdict is:
Cross Drilled
Slotted

For pure looks on a strictly street-driven car? Both.

For performance/track driving? Neither.

Slotted yes, Crossdrilled no. Unless the crossdrilling is cast in the rotor the rotor can/will crack at the drill points under sever usage.

Nice looking rotors, I got some of those drilled and slotted ones myself. The look is tough.

Nice wheels too.
