Default Cricket sound!

Some back ground. My car was returned to stock (intake, cat, exhaust) when all i put everything on, everything was quiet and smooth. But after about 4 days I just started to hear a cricket sound when starting to moving. It is there when coasting and in acceleration/deceleration. It sounds like its coming from the middle of the dash or the engine bay near the firewall. Happens cold and even warmed up.

I did some research and everyone states its intake noise but no proof. ITS NOT THE INTAKE!! In my neighborhood at 1 in the morning I ran the car and when going about 20 cut the engine and the sound is still there. So that ruled out. The sound is there whenever the car starts to move. Doesn't sound like the diff at all. I don't think it is the wheel bearing because it sounds like its from the center of the dash near the windshield.

Any input would be great, its driving me CRAZY.

It sounds like a loose bolt.

I have the same problem, soft top strikers creaking, and my rear view mirror (I think) or something in the middle of the dash is making the same noise as yours. I just try to ignore it and turn up the volume with my 3in single berk exhaust, which then silences any noise rattle/creak/squeak.
