Hey, driving a friend's 04 S2000 that he just got. The car has a thunk noise like something settling on transitions, like from a left to right weight transfer. Also, it seems to do it when backing up into a spot. It seems worse on right turns moreso than left turns. Sounds like its coming from the rear, from the undercarriage.

Any thoughts to what it is?

I have recently noticed the same problem in mine. going to hop under it this weekend and have a look. It may be related to the newish exhaust, but need to confirm it. I will post something if I find what mine is.

Put the back up on a jack, the whole wheelassembly was shifting on a loose bolt with about 1/2" of play. Tightened the bolts and fixed it.

Yeah, that's the feeling I get every time I work on the car and forget to tighten the lugs, which is pretty much every time I work on the car.
