Creaking sound when rolling backwards
I'm pretty positive it's not the axle nuts, I've already dealt with that one. This is a new one to me. It is a creaking sound when slowly rolling in reverse (in gear or not, doesn't matter). Only when in reverse too.
I also know it only does it after the brakes have been applied. I know this because I had a couple buddies of mine roll me forward with the car off and in neutral and I tapped the brakes to stop, then we rolled backwards and it made the noise. The next time we tried to repeat the sound, I just let it come to stop by itself, and we rolled the car backwards, and no sound. Then tried it again with the brakes and voila it made the sound.
A technician friend and former S2000 owner thinks it may have something to do with the e-brake, can't remember exactly what he said. But wanted to get what you guys thought it may be as well and if anybody else has encountered this. Thanks!
