Question Creaking noise at low speed and steering wheel

I took my new 03 s2000 to a deserted bit of tarmac and was spinning the car about to get a feel for it.

I got a bit overexcited and spun it about a few times and got in it a bit of a drift for a few seconds then it snapped round quite violently etc etc. Apart from a lot of burnt tire smell afterwards I have noticed a creaking from somewhere in the front. I only notice it when I have the top down at low speeds, over bumps etc. The car feels fine its not a problem but it wasn't there before.

I tried pushing down on each shock and it doesn't reproduce the sound they feel fine.

Also before my "drifting session" the car had a kind of creak you could feel in the wheel. This happenned when turning tight at low speeds, parking etc. Well its gone now but the wheel feels like it may have a tiny amount of play it didn't before.

I was thinking maybe I should whip the wheels off and check out the suspension and bits and pieces to check its all ok and do some maintainance too maybe

Any ideas what to look for and what these noises may have been greatly appreciated

Bump! Same problem here! Sounds like something from my suspension is creaking (very loud rubber squeaking). It sounds like the sway bar bushing. I can only hear it when I'm turning and I hear nothing when going over speed bumps.

Could be alot of things. But, you may have unloaded one of the spings and caused it to reseat, now it is squeaking. Just a guess

I have this exact same problem after going over a moon crater sized pothole about a month ago. The creaking sound is getting progressively worse (only when going over speed bumps...verrry slowly too) and I'm planning to take it to a shop soon. I've already taken the wheel off and inspected all the links and joints and everything looks ok.

Argh! I'll post here once I've had it looked at by a professional and fixed.
