Crazy Exhaust Idea - CBR929RR mufflers on S2000?
I just replaced the stock muffler on my '01 929RR and stuck it on a shelf in the garage. The muffler is a bolt-on style (3-bolt flange). The stock mufflers are on Ebay for like $5.00, cheap.
Anyway, I wondered about getting an exhaust shop to modify the S2000 exhaust so that the motorcycle mufflers could bolt on in place of the car mufflers. There are a wide variety of mufflers available in the aftermarket, also, CF and Titanium. Anyone have any thoughts on this? The 929RR has about half the displacement and about half the HP (guessing) of the S2000, so would 2 motorcycle mufflers suffice for the car?
OK, it's late and been a long day. Please ignore this thread and my sleep-deprived ramblings.

I actually tried this (I used to have a 2000 ZX-9R) when I got my new welder [ what can I say, I am engineer who had no life at the time ]. But I did it on my Toyota Pickup 2WD (2.4L 8V)... and not only was slow as hell but it actually did sound like a lawnmower until I took the baffles out of the muffler. Then it just sounded like a regular straight pipe.
But to answer your question... I don't think you would like it at all.

Our cat is very high flow which means the noise level is HIGH.
I have done this and I had to move the muffler to just behind the cat to quiet it down enough to be somewhat bearable. I took it off after 2 weeks.
