Crank shaft damaged main bearings spun
#2
There is a coating on the crankshaft journals. I do not have first hand experience with how thick that coating is, but when talking when my machine shop before they said they had .030" to work with....which sounds crazy for a coating thickness. Personally, I would just source a new crankshaft.

Do the scratches catch your finger nail? It may be possible to shave the journals and use a thicker bearing. I understand your pain, F series cranks are starting to get more and more rare, they're expensive and because they're so rare they tend to fly.

I work at a crankshaft company I don't have first hand knowledge of the heat treatment depth of the f20 and f22 engine but since it doesn't have undercuts I'm pretty sure it's a nitrided crankshaft which typically means you can regrind .003" smaller but if you need to go like .010" it should be reheattreated. In between .003 and . 010 it's kind of a tossup unless we know the heat treatment depth. If the dings/scratches aren't that bad you may even get away with polishing it/having someone polish it, can't really tell from the photos since I'm on my phone. Just be sure to size the beatings appropriately if it is polished or reground. You really don't even have to get out knicks and dings but you don't want anything sticking up for sure and you definitely want the bearing round as possible.
