Craftsman torque wrenches are 50% off right now

if its only for lug nuts and the oil drain the 3/8 wrench should work. the lug nuts are only 85ft/lbs. so any good 3/8 wrench should get you that. but if the 1/2 inch is the same price then go for it!
if you plan on doing major engine work then i'll recomend a better quality tool than craftsman. maybe snap-on or matco. i personally just got a new matco 3/8 wrench that goes up to 165 ft/lbs, but it was $235. ouch...

They're 50% off - do they read 50% over or 50% under the correct torque?

You can always get ONE tq wrench and an adapter. That's what I have.
I only have a 3/8" wrench but I have adapters to 1/2" and the smaller one as well... I can't remember what size the smaller one is

I've got a craftsman 1/2" and it's worked great so far. I mostly use it for lugs, but it goes up to 250ft-lbs which is great for tightening rear axle nuts. You can always get adapters so it will fit smaller drives. The only downside to the 1/2" is it's weight and size... it's tough to get in small places.
great buy on those though!
just try to pick one that hasn't been dropped
