My craftsman floor jack, about 366 days old, leaks fluid and wont jack.
Sears wont repair it beyond a year, and a local place said they have a hard time finding metric seals PLUS is might cost $250 parts and labor ( umm the jack cost like $150 ).
Suggestions other than dragging it into Sears and draining the rest of hydraulic fluid on say Christmas Eve?

try changing the oil(yes, they are serviceable just like motor oil), they see hydraulic jack oil, don;t use brake/motor/tranny/cooking oil for it.
change it, bleed it and see if it will hold.
under no circumstance go under a car with only a jack, esp you found out it been leaking.

i think reading on the sears website reviews of craftsman jacks, all 40 something reviews said theres leaked or broke within a year and they could do nothing about it. I would think that its pretty much done and garbage now. I was going to buy a craftsman jack but once i read all the reviews i hesitated and dont think i will end up buying one.

I used to work at Sears. In the tool dept and I can tell you that those jacks are pretty crappy. We had people bring them back all the time but there was nothing we could do. I used to exchange them for people if they were cool. This was before they got all bent up about stuff like that and started being strict about warrantes. Buy a cheapo from pep boys or even lowes or something and it will be just as good.

anyway, those jack only carries 1 year warranty for residental use, i think it's a three months for professional. which is just as good as a cow kite

The compressors were fine. Very few problems with those. Make sure you drain it often if you live in a humid area. The tanks rust if you don't. I worked there for 5 yrs and could count on 1 hand problems with compressors. I did see one that shot a piston through the sidewall. That was pretty cool.
