Default Craftsman 4000 lb Capacity Aluminum Jack

Just picked up a CRAFTSMAN 4000-POUND CAPACITY ALUMINUM JACK (Sears item #00950239000 Mfr. model #G620S).

On sale now to CRAFTSMAN CLUB members at Sears for $169.99 (normally $199.99).

It weighs 42.5 pounds and is beautifully made.

If you're looking for a high-quality floor jack, this will make a fine addition to your garage. Highly recommended.

Being the safety nut I am, I also ordered these Wheel Chocks for $13.50 + shipping.

Better safe than sorry!

Actually, its lifting range is 3-3/4" - 18-1/2".

Details are available here:

And, yes, $169 is a lot of money for a floor jack but it verges on a work of art!

I've had one of them for a while now. It seems well made and it's certainly light, but it's not very quick. All in all, I'm pleased with it. I think I paid $179.00 for it and I thought I saw it on sale at Sears over the winter for $129.00. Costco had one that looked very similar except that it was all silver for $100.00, but I guess it was a one-shot deal.

You probably saw the "other" Sears aluminum jack (1.5 ton)... plus we've currently got a thread going on this topic:

You probably are referring to the CRAFTSMAN 1.5 ton Jack (Sears item #00950240000 Mfr. model #G615 ) which is not all-aluminum but aluminum/steel, weighs 55.4 pounds, and costs $119.99.

A very nice jack in its own right although heavier and with reduced lift capacity as compared to this thread's subject floor jack.

I always wanted this jack. The one I have has a minimum height of like 5 inches. Such a pain in the ass! I just need to muster up enough courage to drop $170 for a jack.

I had this jack for a couple of months. While it is certainly a good looking jack, it failed on me. The jack seized in the upright position and would not retract. Had to use a 2nd jack to get the car off of this one. This is the second Sears jack I have had to return. Ended up going with the Harbor Freight Jack instead.
